Produced by the New Zealand Mint, the 2017 Niue 2 Dollar Silver coin recreates the feel of the ancient Silver Tetradrachm struck between 512 and 50 BC. The reverse features an image of an Athenian Owl with the letters AOE representing Alethia, Orno, Eternia or truth, honour, forever. The obverse features the protrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Weighing 31.2g (999.0), contains one troy ounce of fine silver and have an edge design that allows them to be stacked.
