1939-1945 Star; Burma Star; Defence and War Medals 1939-45, traces of adhesive to reverse, very fine

John Charles Edward Sims was a native of Dumphries, Scotland and gained a visa to travel to Germany in May 1938. He then served with the Royal Army Service Corps in Burma during the Second World War (No. 158672) and became a Member of the Burma Star Association. He was an artist of note and variously displayed and donated works to the local Museum.

Sold together with his German 1938 visa, Burma Star Membership Card and Badge, besides a number of his sketches (24 in total, backed onto grey card) a selection of which are shown in the listing.
