The facts. 37436 Evan E. Lewis served as a Private with the Machine Gun Corps and entered the war after 1915.
There is no evidence that he ranked C.S.M. or that he served with the 4th R.W.F. This is likely to be a medal set created and worn by Evan Lewis with "Enhancements" to his rank and service. Interesting and unusual, on short original ribbons. VF.
