A Great War casualty pair to Private W. E. Green, East Yorkshire Regiment, who was killed in action on 31 October 1917

British War and Victory Medals (225667 Pte. W. E. Green. E. York. R.); Memorial Plaque (William Ernest Green), extremely fine

William Ernest Green was born at Neller Hallam, Yorkshire and enlisted at Sheffield. He was killed in action on 31 October 1917 serving with the 1st/4th Bn, and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. He was the son of Walter and Emily Green of Onchan Villa, Dore, Sheffield.

The lot additionally includes his Memorial Scroll, mounted on card with reduced edges as pictured, and a copy photograph of him in uniform.
