Charles Merrison was born in Walthamstow and enlisted in the A.I.F. at Holdsworthy, New South Wales, on 3/9/1915. He is recorded as wounded in action on the Western front on 19th September 1916. He served with the 30th & 45th battalions, A.I.F and included is his certificate of issue for a silver war badge.
