British War and Victory Medals (TS-10322 Dvr. W. Drummond. A.S.C.)
William Drummond was born on 5th September 1891. His army trade was a Transport Special (TS), Rank of Driver, and specifically he was a saddler. He lived in Byker Northumberland when he joined up on the 2nd December 1915, having already seen service with the 5th North Territorials. His overseas service started on 30th August 1916 when he disembarked from the Troop Ship Minnewaska at Salonica. From his service record it seems that he suffered on more than one occasion from stomach complaints and later Pneumonia, and was eventually invalided to the UK from Malta in January 1919. He died in 1982, aged 91.
His medals are mounted on their original ribbons and are in good VF condition, supplied with some copied research.
