Walter Holmes served on the western front from 28/2/1915 with the 6th Battalion. He is recorded as wounded on 29/9/15.

During the course of the war he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, (407651). 

The medals are extremely fine and come with the original long silk ribbons. Included is his Association of Conservative Clubs long service medal.

Walter was born in Buxton, Derbyshire in 1884
