William Cox was born in 1895 and lived at 71 Manor Road, Toll Bar, Doncaster. He Served in France with 156 & 34th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery from 24th August 1915.
On 10th November 1916 he was admitted to hospital, the ailment listed as 'Boils'.
He was discharged on 2/9/1919, no longer fit for active service, and was entitled to the silver war badge.
