Goldsmith’s Sudbury copper halfpenny token dated 1793.

Obverse: Coat of Arms of the town of Sudbury with legend: “MAY THE TRADE OF SUDBURY FLOURISH”. Reverse: Legend on three lines: “PRO BONO PUBLICO 1793”. Edge inscription: “PAYABLE AT GOLDSMITH & SONS SUDBURY .XXX.”.

 Goldsmith & Sons were tailors and drapers with their business in Sudbury.

Near mint state with hints of red lustre in the legends.
