James Conder’s Ipswich copper halfpenny token dated 1794.

 Obverse: A market Cross surmounted by a figure of Justice. The area is marked off by a ring of posts with legend: “IPSWICH CROSS 1794”.

Reverse: Legend on six lines: “PAYABLE AT CONDER’S DRAPERY WAREHOUSE IPSWICH”. Milled edge.

James Conder was a linen draper at Tavern Street, Ipswich.

Virtually as struck with considerable red lustre.
