This medal is correctly impressed to CH.7672 B.1154. G.W. POTTERTON. PTE. R.F.R.

George William Potterton was born on 10th April 1876 at Frindsbury Kent. , and he enlisted on 17th January 1894 with The Royal Marines. Records show that he is also entitled to a 1914 star trio with clasp which indicates that he took part in the defence of Antwerp in 1914, achieving the rank of Lance Sergeant by the end of the war.

Without ribbon, very fine and worthy of further research.
