In 2021, to mark the 125th anniversary of the Klondike Gold Rush — an important event in Canada’s history — The Royal Canadian Mint issued a new innovative coin.
Inspired by the steel pans that over 30,000 people carried to the Klondike region in search of Gold, the coin itself is concave in shape. Not only that, but it also features Gold-Plated nuggets engraved on the reverse, recalling the critical gold rush era.
Struck from 1oz of 99.9% silver, the 25 dollar coin is beautifully contrasted with a Gold-Plated rim, helping commemorate this important moment in Canada’s history with both its metal and design.
This coin has been encapsulated in a Royal Canadian clamshell with a case of issue and fully certificated.
