George Hutchings enlisted into the Army Service Corps on 23 October 1914 at the age of 42 and served on the Western Front from 30 October 1914 for 7 months before he was discharged on 8 May 1915 because he was deemed no longer fit for active service due to sickness.
He was entitled to a war pension but for reasons unknown he took his own life in 1931.
Hutchings was also entitled to the British War Medal and Silver War Badge.
