WW1. War medal. Bilbrough. 17th London Rifles. Casualty

Henry William Bilbrough served with the 17th battalion county of London (Poplar & Stepney rifles) He served from 10/10/1915 in Theatres 1a (France) 2a (Macedonia) and 4b (Egypt) before returning to 1a (France) from 22/6/1918 to 1/3/1919. He was discharged on 31/3/19 as 'surplus to requirements due to injuries received'.

He was reported wounded on 27/5/1916 whilst serving on the western front. details below.

He was treated for 98 days in total, on the hospital ship 'Asturias'

Rifleman Bilbrough had an eventful war. He is entitled to a victory medal and a silver war badge. His medal is very fine with a replacement ribbon.
