Faustina junior was the wife of the emperor Marcus Aurelius.

This provincial bronze coin from an uncertain mint, possibly Anatolia, shows a nice bust of the empress, and the reverse shows the goddess Cybele, seated left holding a patera, with her left arm resting on a Tympanum.

6.54g. 20.5mm. Very fine.
